On your vacation to the Bahamas, you won’t want to miss out on seeing one of the most gorgeous sites in the world – Dean’s Blue Hole. This legendary water-filled sinkhole attracts visitors from all over the world. The crystal clear, turquoise waters make for a beautiful backdrop, and it’s the perfect place to explore. As one of the deepest blue holes in the world, Dean’s Blue Hole is a place you’ll remember visiting forever.
Spend a Few Hours Exploring Dean’s Blue Hole
In the bay west of Clarence Town on Long Island, you’ll find Dean’s Blue Hole, which plunges to a depth of 663 feet, making it one of the deepest blue holes to exist. This blue hole was created from a sinkhole filled with the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Bahamas. The entrance to Dean’s Blue Hole is just below the surface of the water.
If you’re in the mood, dip into Dean’s Blue Hole. In many areas, the water is waist-deep so that you can comfortably wade through the water and cool down on a hot day. This is one of the most unique things about Dean’s Blue Hole – though it looks like a pond, it’s deeper than you could ever imagine, yet you can touch the bottom in certain areas. The water is so crystal clear that on most days, you can see down 115 feet!
Dean’s Blue Hole is connected to the Atlantic Ocean through an inlet on one side. On the other side, there are tall cliffs and white sand beaches. Everywhere you look from Dean’s Blue Hole, you’ll find unique, picturesque views, none of which look the same. This gorgeous and tropical landmark will make for a memorable afternoon. You’ll leave with some of the prettiest pictures that you could ever take!
